| December Games Night is on Saturday, December 10 beginning at 6 pm and will be hosted at his home, as usual, by John Hornberger, 518-372-2444 (h); 518-391-3799 (c); . December Games Night will be on Saturday the 10th, once again at the Hornberger home in Niskayuna (Umm, yeah, who said anything about "alternating venues"? They lied), and the theme, in honor of the season, is POLITICS!!! That's right. Games involving politics or political figures directly, OR games involving lying or cheating as an acceptable means of winning, are acceptable. Even games of historical geopolitical significance are fair game. As usual, games will begin at 6 pm, all friends and family and pets and children are welcome (we ask that friends at least be "prospective" Mensans), and you can contact your host, John Hornberger, at 518-391-3799, or goodkingjohn13@yahoo.com with any questions or ideas. Bring food and/or drink to share, or nothing at all! I have a mini hot-dog heater and lots of fridge space. SPECIAL EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT: I would like to begin a game of Diplomacy early that afternoon, so anyonewho would like to get in on it please let me know! There is room for seven total, but you need to be committed to it. Its main appeal is that it's like Risk but without dice - nothing random at all. You have to work with, and against, the other players to make your moves on the board. Check it out on Wikipedia. That's it - see you there!!! |

Tavern Tuesday is at 6:00 pm (weekly) at O'Toole's Restaurant and Pub, 1814 Central Avenue, Colonie, NY 12205. Come for the food, the drinks or just dessert, and join in the multiple threads of stimulating conversation (there is NTN Buzztime Trivia or if you need more multiu-tasking than simultaneous conversations provide)! We're usually to the left and all the way back near the big Shell sign. Lately we have been averaging more than a dozen people, so the conversation is constant and the topics varied. Hosted by David MacGregor, who can be reached at (518)275-5534 and . |

A Members Only section has been added to the MoNNY website! Access to Newsletters and other items related to Mensa-only events or containing potentially private information will now require the same User ID and password used to access the American Mensa website. For more information regarding getting a password or with help resolving any problems, please go to the American Mensa sign-in page.. I have found them to be very helpful resolving my own self-inflicted computer woes... |
